New challenge from Jeroen Adriaans, E-Expansion

Jeroen Adriaans, founder of the bamboo men's underwear brand Bamigo, stepped down as CEO at Bamigo on July 1 of this year (2018). Jeroen was "ready for something new" and has always had the ambition to start a company independently without external investors. In August 2018, he founded the company E-Expansion. E-Expansion is an amalgamation of the words "E-commerce" and "Expansion" to the outside world. With E-Expansion, Jeroen Adriaans wants to support other entrepreneurs from A to Z to become more successful online under the motto: "carefree growth", in addition, he would like to work out his own concepts and put them on the market as well.

Why E-Expansion?

When Jeroen had started Bamigo, he noticed that there are an awful lot of companies active in E-commerce. Many promises are made but unfortunately only a small part is actually realized. E-Expansion has put together a team of specialists, each with his/her own expertise. This allows everyone to focus on his/her own qualities and thus achieve more results in a short time. Using our past experience, we have a list of reliable partners who can support us to achieve better results where necessary. As a result, they save a lot of time and money for the entrepreneur and allow us to achieve greater growth faster.

Different forms of cooperation

With E-Expansion, Jeroen Adriaans has worked out different forms of collaboration: based on an hourly rate, a performance-based proposal and a participation option. This way we share the risks in order to create more trust and work together towards a fantastic end result. Results-based working often provides comfort to the entrepreneur and is unfortunately little implemented in practice.

What services does E-Expansion offer

I founded E-Expansion with a small team of specialists and then expanded it further. At this moment we can take care of Finance and Administration, Website Development, Website design, Marketing and Media strategies and of course media buying. Because of my extensive knowledge and experience in the past, I know what the possibilities are and how we can best handle matters.

What are your expectations?

Adriaans hopes to build a nice team in the coming year and, of course, a nice portfolio so that a track record can be communicated within 2 years so that they can further accelerate growth. In addition, it would of course be fantastic if beautiful concepts come along that also create participation opportunities. Hereby Jeroen Adriaans hopes to realize at least 2 participations in 2019.

Do you quit underwear altogether?

Bamigo is now history for Jeroen Adriaans, "that is a closed chapter where I learned a lot. It was a real rollercoaster that brought a lot of beauty. Bamigo of course feels like a baby, that will take some time. Now that Adriaans has left Bamigo, he has a competition agreement with the owners. As a result, I may not do anything in the underwear business for the next 12 months. Whether he would like to do anything in the underwear business in the future he can't say now, for now it's just fine. In the end, he was able to achieve a fantastic result with Bamigo in 3.5 years, so he cannot rule out doing something similar again in the future.

Lectures and Presentations

In the past I (Jeroen) have given many lectures and presentations especially on various e-commerce topics and on the success case Bamigo. I really enjoy giving lectures, master classes and coaching and would like to continue doing so. Of course, I have my own website where requests for lectures and presentations can be made.
