Trustpilot

Experience the impact of reviews

We bring consumers and businesses together to share, collaborate and improve. The strength of our platform comes from being open to all consumers and businesses, and being independent and transparent.

How does Trustpilot work?

Trustpilot is the best-known review platform. Companies can join the platform so that customers of their webshop can write reviews about the company and the products/services it sells.

On the other hand, users can create and account and then write reviews about their findings of the company or the products/services it sells.

Trustpilot charges a monthly fee for which you as a business can use their platform.

Transparency

Trustpilot stands for transparency. This allows consumers to look up any affiliated company and see what reviews have been written. This openness allows consumers to honestly form an opinion about the organization or the products/services they sell.

To post a review, you must create an account. This prevents companies from writing +1,000 "fake" reviews themselves. They can also only ask consumers to leave a review when they have actually made a purchase.

Why Trustpilot

Although there are several parties that have an equivalent platform, internationally we can count Trustpilot as the market leader. Trustpilot is also the best known and largest review platform in the Netherlands. If you manage to achieve a good score, this ensures a certain level of trust among visitors.

Anonymous reviews can arouse suspicion, which is why independent parties such as Trustpilot can provide a solution to this. They do not benefit from looking at the reviews subjectively which gives them a transparent function. So this ensures that you get honest reviews about your company or product/service.

What do I need to consider?

You must first ask yourself why customers are considering posting a review. This could be when you do not meet expectations, when expectations are met or when you have performed above expectations. Of course, negative reviews are best avoided so make sure your business processes and products/services are in order.

Make clear what can be expected and make sure you live up to this expectation. Product and/or service should function properly and delivery time should be as indicated. This already prevents the chance of bad reviews.

In addition, customer service and follow-up reviews are important. Respond promptly and substantively to your customers' questions or complaints so they notice that you are personally paying attention to their story. Should a bad review be posted, deal with it professionally. Show that you think about a solution and remember that your response to a review is also read by visitors. Respond as you would want your question/complaint to be responded to.
